Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Technical Writer in New York. This role involves working closely with copywriters and the creative team, ensuring all content aligns with the required tone of voice. You will be involved in various channels, including email, TVC, and social media, and will be tasked with updating style guides as needed. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with copywriters to ensure content is in line with the company's tone. • Proofread and edit content across various channels, including email, TVC, and social media. • Stay updated on the latest media trends and content best practices. • Manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines without compromising on quality. • Compile and update style guides as required, ensuring content adheres to these guides. • Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with the team. • Utilize desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office Suite for content creation and editing. • Exhibit leadership and time management skills in managing tasks and deadlines. • Adhere to best practices in social media and other platforms where content is published. • Work on localization of content for specific audiences when necessary. Requirements • Proficient in English language communication, both written and verbal. • Demonstrated quality assurance skills. • Familiarity with social media platforms and understanding of media trends. • Proven leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team. • Proficient in time management and able to prioritize tasks effectively. • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Experience in proofreading and editing technical documents. • Familiarity with various style guides and ability to adapt writing style as needed. • Experience in localization and understanding of desktop publishing. • Knowledge and understanding of best practices in technical writing. • Background in journalism or similar field is preferred. • Experience with 'Join Me' or similar project management tools. • Proven skills in copy editing and creating editorial content. • Ability to adapt voice and tone to suit different platforms and audiences.
