Technical Writer
Job Title: Technical Writer Job Description Our client is looking for a Technical Writer to help create User Manuals for their widely fielded handheld multiband, tactical software-defined radios. Responsibilities: Generate and modify MIL-STD and COTS style Operator Manuals, Depot Manuals, and other user documentation. Generate and modify training material, including training slides and instruction packages. Review customer requirements and verify compliance of technical documentation. Report project status during team meetings. Support customer meetings and reviews. Work with various teams throughout the organization as needed, included but not limited to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team, PM, EPM, Software Engineers, and System Engineers. Hard Skills + Arbortext XML editor experience + MIL-STD/defense experience + 5+ years of technical writing experience. + Associate degree, BSEE/BSCS, or equivalent. Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in CLARKSBURG, Maryland. Work Environment Heavy Engineering Design and Manufacturing Environment. This client designs and manufactures all its own products in-house.
