Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in developing requirements-based policy and process documentation that caters to diverse stakeholder groups. This role is crucial for ensuring that documentation meets the highest standards of clarity and precision, facilitating effective communication across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior technical staff, ensuring that existing documentation is updated and that new materials are created when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Interface with senior technical staff and key stakeholders to identify documentation needs and gaps, ensuring that all materials are accurate and up to date. Produce high-quality, requirements-based process documentation from a blank page, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all user groups. Revise existing documents in accordance with guidance from senior staff and stakeholders, maintaining consistency and adherence to company standards. Manage the formatting of all process documents to ensure uniformity and conformity with established documentation standards. Process completed documentation through our document management system with the support of dedicated document managers, ensuring proper storage and retrieval. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in technical or professional writing, communications, or a related field. 7-10 years of experience as a technical writer within multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams, preferably in the defense, aerospace, manufacturing, or technology sectors. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel) with the ability to format documents and process maps to meet established standards. Proven ability to work collaboratively with both junior and senior technical staff, as well as other key stakeholders, to ensure the effectiveness of documentation. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple documents at various stages of completion. A positive attitude, with a talent for influencing others towards a common goal. Experience developing process documentation based on the AS9100 quality standard is highly desirable. Experience in decomposing requirements and translating them into usable process documentation for diverse stakeholders is a plus. Candidates must be a United States Citizen.
