Technical Writer Job Number: 353111 Category: -Engineering & Design SBU Description: A Technical Writing job is currently available at Belcan in Lexington, KY. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have work experience in the areas of Technical Writing and engineering change release authoring for the aerospace industry. You will be performing Technical Writing in support of the engineering efforts for a major aerospace turbomachinery OEM. Job Duties: * Act as a point of contact, providing assistance with Technical Writing activities. Gather information to in support of the release of engineering change documents. Act as a focal in the coordination of engineering release efforts. Create engineering change documents in customer systems in accordance with defined processes and procedures. Work within a team to perform duties with regular correspondence. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary. This is an in-office position with no option for remote work. Required Qualifications: * Knowledge and experience in area of Technical or Professional writing. Detail oriented, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations. Ability to recognize and solve typical problems and select solutions from established options. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion. Knowledge of MS Office Suite. Associates" degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. US citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications & Skills: * 4-year Bachelor"s degree. 1 year or greater experience doing technical writing. Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $40,000 to 55,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
