We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer in support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS).This position will write and edit technical manuals in a live verification environment in accordance with MIL-STD 40051-1, MIL-STD 40051-2, and MIL-HDBK-1222. ResponsibilitiesWrite and edit in Arbortext or comparable XML editing software for a U.S. Army system.  Incorporate technical manual layout for operator and field maintenance manuals, XML tagging structures, and write and edit work packages using latest standard compliant XML, DTD, and style sheets. Create, develop, and deliver high quality technical, multi-media, and graphic illustrations in support of program objectives. Create new graphic illustrations from CAD models, photographs, and existing technical graphics in Adobe graphics design products, to include Illustrator and Photoshop. QualificationsSecret Security Clearance Minimum of two years’ experience in writing and editing US Army Technical manuals using Arbortext or comparable eXtensible Markup Language (XML) editing software Experience in using or writing and editing US Army technical manuals and editing illustrations and artwork using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.  Additional Information
