Description:
Actalent is seeking a Technical Writer to support a role on an IRS program. The role will involve writing and editing technical documents including software and systems engineering, operations, testing, and user documentation. As well as creating code documentation for software; produces implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provides field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formats technical publications from pamphlets, drawings and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.
Day to Day may Include...
-Writing, editing, proofreading, and/or providing writing support on non-technical or technical documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications
-Research technical reference materials, gather relevant technical information and collaborating with teammates or other experts to develop draft and final copies of documentation based on contract requirements
-Research highly technical subject matter, organizes information from multiple sources, and express technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and SMES
-Apply concepts for technical writing based on engineering drawings, technical information from engineering documentation, consultations with engineers and subject matter experts, and other available sources
-Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings, operational procedures to understand and blend large quantities of computer related information
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate will possess...
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
-An Understanding of industry practices and standards as applicable to technical writing
-An MBI Public Trust (preferable from IRS)
-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
-Bachelor's Degree and 4-8 years of experience
