Opportunity Overview
The increasing sophistication and high-performance nature of the Teradyne product line has resulted in a need for Technical Writer who will implement and maintain the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) System for PCBAs (PCB Assemblies). This role involves documenting product improvements, repairs, and new product development. The Technical Writer will coordinate interactions between hardware engineering, manufacturing, field operations, and marketing to ensure appropriate changes are documented. The position reports to the PCB Design and Customer Hardware Engineer organization and will involve the following responsibilities:
+ Implement and Maintain the Team Center ECN System : Ensure all changes are tracked and documented accurately.
+ Coordinate Interactions: Facilitate communication between engineering, manufacturing, field operations, and marketing departments.
+ Support Document Control: Assist individual contributors responsible for tracking documents and coordinating activities within engineering services or manufacturing.
+ Provide Documentation: Create and maintain documentation in accordance with company policies and industry regulations, ensuring compliance with Teradyne’s standards.
+ Schematic / constraint capture is highly preferred.
+ Knowledge of leading-edge EDA tools (Cadence Allegro board design and schematic entry preferred)

Minimum job requirements:
+ Associate’s/Technical degree in Electrical/Electromechanical or a related field.
+ Strong understanding of ECN (Electronic Communication Network) systems and document control processes.
+ Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) guidelines and soldering principles to write accurate and effective ECNs that improve product reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
+ Competence using PCB CAD tools with Cadence experience.
+ Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Visio and web-based applications.
+ Ability to assist with capturing, tracking and closing action items resulting from hardware engineering design review meetings.
+ Experience in technical writing, preferably within the technology or manufacturing industry.
Preferred Job Requirements:
+ Experience with PLM tools and software such as Team Center preferred.
+ Knowledge of Teradyne’s products and services preferred.
