Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is proud to be a leading provider of Rollingstock assets and management in Australia. We have a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer to join our RTS team at our Auburn Maintenance Centre.

The Technical Writer will be responsible for the development and peer reviews of technical publications in accordance with approved task schedules and documentation standards. 

The role will be to develop, design, author, review and standardise documentation.

Skills & Qualifications:

2-5 years relevant experience in technical writing Ability to produce easy to read, and well-planned documentation to support efficiency in the organisation  Incorporate and integrate Zero Harm into all documentation  Align internal and external customer expectations and requirements into technical documents Consult internal and external customer when required on document requirements  Incorporate relevant Australian and International standards Accommodate Engineering design and document change management processes
