Overview:
At SolarWinds, our customers come first. The IT pros who use our products every day are relying on us to help them get their products installed and configured quickly and show them how to get value from our powerful tools. The Technical Content team provides the instructional materials our users need to get the most value out of our products, including guides explaining how to install, get started with, and use our products. The Technical Content team operates globally, following a flexible hybrid schedule that balances team collaboration with dedicated work time.
Your Role:
Serve as the lead writer for select SolarWinds products. Develop and maintain product user guides, release notes, and support articles to provide valuable information to users. Actively assess team processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Implement changes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Your Experience:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various teams within SolarWinds, including Technical Content, Development, Infrastructure, Support, and others involved in product delivery to the IT community. Strong technical aptitude, with an ability to learn new software and processes quickly. Excellent writing and comprehension skills, with a deep understanding of grammar, content organization, and American English. Ability to describe complex, technical concepts and procedures clearly and accurately. Experience with HTML and CSS, and familiarity with best practices for web content. Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage a varied workload while thriving in a fast-paced environment. Your flexibility and adaptability will be essential for success in this role. Equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field is acceptable, with a degree in those fields considered a bonus. Experience working as a technical writer in a software technology environment is desired. Experience with help authoring tools, such as MadCap Flare or Adobe Robohelp, and with source control systems, such as Git, is desired.SolarWinds is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
