ABC Technical Writer

Develops and maintains user and technical documentation and project process documentation for Application Teams.
Technical Writer with 5+ Years of Experience
Responsibilities:
• Main focus will be to document system interfaces of VA ABC’s information systems. This is to include both COTS and internal applications. You must be able to interview SME's to get information and put compile it into an understandable process flowchart.
• Follow a standardized way to document our technical documentation.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, while working independently and with others.
• Confer with customer representatives in business units, audit department and development teams.
• Interview business users to become familiar with business processes so they can be incorporated into easy to follow user documentation.
Requirements:
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Visio. HTML experience is a plus.
• Must have excellent analytical and verbal communication skills.
• Must be flexible and have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Highly motivated individual able to grasp complex software and learn quickly.
• A sample of prior work must be presented at interview. Please attach a writing sample with the resume if possible.
