Precise Systems is seeking a Technical Writer to support our NSWC Crane customer. This role involves developing clear and concise documentation with minimal guidance, ensuring it complies with applicable standards, style guides, and directives, while meeting the needs of the customer and end-users.

Responsibilities: Review and Edit Documents: Review, edit, and format a variety of documents and reports created within the USMC Branch. Content Review: Ensure documents adhere to updated reporting formats. Editing: Edit content for clarity, accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and consistency. Collaboration: Work with team members to gather information and context for accurate document editing. Simplify Complex Content: Transform complex technical content into easy-to-understand documents. Improve Readability: Enhance the readability and flow of documents without compromising technical accuracy. Proofreading: Perform final proofreading to ensure documents are error-free and consistently formatted. Verify Accuracy: Ensure proper documentation of all data, references, and citations. Desired Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Desired Experience: At least 4 years of experience in editing content for clarity, accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and consistency.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $67,634.18-$101,648.18 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
