Job Family Definition:
Analyzes customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan. Designs and develops written and/or visual product-related information – hard copy, web - (e.g., user/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into product, for a variety of audiences (end user, system administrators, internal support engineers, product developers, training developers). Codes, builds, compiles, and tests online information and/or sets-up, loads and tests systems hardware to create information deliverables and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development. As customer advocate, helps define/refine product requirements. Develops standards and style documents and templates, scripts, style sheets, and script and graphic libraries to ensure common look and feel. Interfaces with cross-functional areas as a member of the product development team, such as marketing, test, support, and manufacturing.

Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. In a typical day as a Partner Support Specialist, you would...
Accurately and efficiently designs and develops written and/or visual product-related information (e.g. instruction/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) for a variety of audiences (end users, System Engineers, and customer support engineers) to support product releases, enhancements and customer requests for multiple networking products.
Quickly and efficiently communicates complex technical information to create simple and understandable documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Works closely with SMEs, Customer support, and Product Management functions to understand how each product works, gathers information, and ensures that complete and accurate information is presented.
Creates and adapts style guides for teams ensuring consistency across documents according to company standards.
Executes peer reviews and incorporates feedback effectively.
Effectively manages timelines for documentation deliverables to align with project milestones.
Demonstrates proficiency in editing for grammar, structure, and technical accuracy.
Leads process improvements within the team or organization.
Leads or owns end-to-end deliverables or content projects.
What you need to bring:
First Level University degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science or related technical/communications field and a minimum of 4-6 years related experience or an Advanced University degree and 2-4 years experience or equivalent.
Proven exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and cross team collaboration.
Exhibits a strong understanding of network infrastructure, and experience with network hardware and software.
Has experience in documentation platforms (e.g., MadCap Flare, Oxygen or similar) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Jira)
Demonstrates basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing documentation changes
Capable of working independently with minimal guidance.
Experience in creating video tutorials is an added advantage.
Coding in HTML, DHTML, XML JavaScript or similar is a plus.
Familiarity with structured authoring methods like DITA is a plus.
