Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to create and maintain datasheets, user manuals, and technical guides. You will collaborate with engineering, marketing, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand documentation requirements. Your role will be essential in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that meets industry standards and user needs.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain datasheets, user manuals, and technical guides.Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand documentation requirements.Create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that meets industry standards and user needs.Edit and proofread documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity.Organize and manage documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project schedules.Conduct research and interviews to obtain detailed and accurate information.Utilize documentation tools and software to produce high-quality documents.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing.Essential Skills5+ years of Technical Writing experience, preferably in the appliance or industrial machinery industry.Proven experience as a Technical Writer.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to explain them clearly.Experience with creating diagrams and illustrations using software such as Visio, Illustrator, and AutoCAD.Proficiency with documentation tools and software, including Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, Confluence, and InDesign.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or Engineering.Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), multimedia, and quality control.Understanding of GD&T and SOP.Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment with heavy machinery. You will support engineering with the documentation of machinery, parts, and appliances. The company is experiencing rapid growth and plans to expand by 300% in the next two years.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00
