What You'll Do Avalara is a global company with dev teams across multiple locations. What Your Responsibilities Will Be You will create high-quality technical documentation for Avalara APIs, SDKs, and developer tools, including reference guides, tutorials, and FAQs. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other team members to understand API functionality and use cases. You will translate complex technical concepts into clear, and user-friendly documentation that meets the needs of developers. You will maintain the consistency, accuracy, and clarity of all documentation following Avalara's branding and standards. You will gather feedback from developers and users to improve the usability of the documentation. You will work with the Design & Development teams to create visual aids, code samples, and other supporting materials. You will ensure updates to documentation to reflect changes in APIs or new product features. You will contribute to the developer experience by identifying and addressing gaps in resources. What You'll Need to be Successful What You'll Need to be Successful: Experience writing API documentation, with familiarity in REST, JSON, and similar technologies. Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI, Markdown, and Git. 3+ years of experience with structured documentation tools such as DITA.
