What You'll Do:
Effectively interacts and collaborates with pursuit team members including joint venture partners, designers, and subcontractors in a positive and non-confrontational mannerCompiles, translates, edits and formats information for proposalsInterviews and collaborates closely with technical content experts to develop concise technical proposal narratives, which includes independently analyzing information and reaching decisions as to the best manner to convey such informationCollaborate effectively and independently with Skanska operations and estimating personnel, Skanska’s joint venture partner personnel and lead designer personnel to develop high value technical proposal narrativesDevelop strong working relationships with the Proposal Team to efficiently and effectively delivery successful proposalsEnsure that corporate brand messages and written style guide requirements are being represented correctly and communicated in accordance with the company guidelinesMaintain collection of boilerplate documents used for marketing, business development and recruiting efforts, including overviews, technical documents, project descriptions and resumes. Exceptional writing, proofreading and editorial skills: Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure to ensure that written materials prepared and reviewed are complete, succinct and free of mechanical errorsAbility to quickly grasp technical details and translate into concise written information for a variety of technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to read and comprehend job related materials and documentsComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and In-DesignAbility to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goalsAbility to establish and maintain cooperative working relationshipsAbility to listen effectively and translate highly technical information into understandable proposal writingDemonstrated time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, work environments, management styles and business trendsAbility to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlinesEducation and/or Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism or related area of studyApproximately 1-3 years of relevant experience. Search Firm and Employment Agency Disclaimer Skanska USA Human Resources (“Skanska HR”) provides HR services to the Skanska business units within the U.S.A. including Skanska USA Civil Inc., Skanska USA Building Inc., Skanska USA Commercial Development Inc. and Skanska Infrastructure Development Inc.
