Technical Writer/Editor

Precise Systems seeks a strong Technical Writer/Editor to support pipeline development, proposal management, and data analytics.

Duties:

Act as project manager for RFP responses by coordinating with multiple departments and practice areas to develop effective/compelling proposals Synthesize technical data from Subject Matter Experts and develop value propositions to resonate with clientele. Act independently and proactively to analyze and solve complex opportunity nuances, with a detail-oriented mindset. Participate in developing win themes. Customize technical content to reflect the specific RFP/Client criteria and requirements. Develop written questions and seek clarification from procurement officials throughout the RFP/ procurement process and remain current on all amendments and modifications. Participate in the analysis of proposal opportunities and participate in GO/NO GO decisions. Manage all phases of the proposal development process in response to formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Manage/track all aspects of proposal preparation, revision, and submission; coordinate inputs from technical, contracts, and finance departments; and coordinate internal reviews with upper management. Demonstrate creativity and excellent writing/editing skills. Demonstrate continuous process improvement, with an emphasis on quality of product development. Ability to balance workload with various milestones, demonstrating an innate ability to prioritize.

Required Experience:

Five (5) years of experience in the GOVCON/DoD/USN environment with an emphasis of technical solution development in support of proposal activity Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer with expertise in Engineering Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Required Education:

BA/BS in Business, English, Management or Technical Field, MA/MS is desired

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $66,918.69 to $100,378.03 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
