**Overview**
Tanaq Government Services (TGS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services and information technology (IT) solutions to federal agencies in health, technology, and other government services. **About the Role**
We seek a **Technical Writer Editor II** who will provide expert technical writing skills to internal and external groups concerning health communication and marketing programs, projects, and strategies. They will support assigned programs' health communication and information dissemination efforts by reviewing, editing, and clearing communication, marketing materials, and presentations. Works with fellow managers and leadership to ensure delivery success and high customer satisfaction. Contributes to TGS culture and shapes TGS values through actions.
This is a hybrid remote role from Atlanta, GA.
**Responsibilities**
+ Write technical and scientific content for programs that is grammatically correct, adhere to best practices in technical and scientific writing, and comply with plain language requirements.
+ Edits very complex scientific reports to ensure correct medical terminology and definitions are used appropriately.
+ Writes and edits high-visibility, high-priority projects and materials for research findings.
+ Edit scripts, brochures, reports, and other documents related to programs to ensure the documents are grammatically correct, adhere to best practices in technical writing, and comply with the agency's plain language requirements.
+ Proofread brochures, reports, and other documents related to the programs to ensure the documents are grammatically correct, adhere to best practices in technical writing, and comply with plain language requirements.
+ Provide health communication, education, and writing/editing support.
+ Provide technical assistance with marketing and promotion.
+ Provides support for internal and external partnership activities.
+ Provide technical writing expertise.
+ Provide technical writing, technical editing, and proofreading support for web content.
Requirements
**Required Experience and Skills**
+ Must have direct experience in health communications.
+ Must have Plain Language Writing experience.
+ Expert in technical writing, editing, and analytical skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication.
+ Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently organize multiple priorities independently while remaining flexible to respond to additional requests.
+ Ability to work effectively with a team of health communication and graphic design specialists from start to completion of time-sensitive customer products.Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently organize multiple priorities independently while maintaining the flexibility to respond to additional requests.
+ Previous experience with federal health agency programs, policies, procedures, and communication activities is highly desired.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
+ Able to obtain government clearance.
**Education and Training**
+ Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, advertising, English, or related field with 5 years' experience writing and editing both electronic and print publications. Or, Master's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, advertising, English, or related field with 2 years of experience supporting communication and marketing strategies.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, and working on a computer. Talking, hearing, and seeing up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
