ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s Raleigh, NC team is looking for a Technical Writer/Editor Intern to join our Safety team.

 

VHB’s Safety Practice works nationally with Federal, State, and local governments to improve roadway safety for all users. Projects include low-cost roadway safety improvements, safety plans, reference guides for State and local practitioners, and tools for communicating research into practice (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, online videos, articles).


Responsibilities

Provide editorial review of technical/research reports, including grammar checks and formatting to client requirementsPrepare marketing and communication materials to support full research reports, such as case studies, executive summaries, PowerPoint presentations, and information articlesThoroughly reviews client deliverables, marketing materials, and proposal materials for consistency across all productsBuild and maintain working relationships with colleagues

 Skills and Attributes

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate to all levels within the organizationStrong attention to detailAbility to work with multiple, simultaneous deadlines

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English or a related field and demonstrated experience writing, editing, or developing communication productsProficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
