We’re on a mission to create exceptional documentation that bridges the gap between our engineering teams and the developers who bring their ideas to life with SumUp’s tools. Your primary focus will be on transforming SumUp’s developer website by crafting engaging “getting started” guides, improving technical documentation, and making the content structure more intuitive and developer-friendly.

You’ll work closely with engineers to establish a collaborative workflow that enhances the website’s content while also aligning it with customer expectations. Here’s how you’ll contribute:

Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for external developer audiences Revamp and restructure the SumUp Developer Website to improve usability and accessibility Collaborate with engineering teams and internal stakeholders to ensure manuals and guides are complete, accurate, and user-friendly Define and implement guidelines for future documentation, including tone of voice and best practices for engineering teams Review and provide constructive feedback on developer-authored content, such as technical blogs and internal documentation

 

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

Demonstrated expertise in crafting technical documentation for both external audiences and internal stakeholders Good understanding of creating exceptional API documentation, with a strong emphasis on user experience Proven track record of developing clear, concise "Getting Started" and detailed "How-To" guides Experience collaborating with engineers to help them produce engaging and well-structured technical blogs Familiarity in tools such as Notion, Markdown, GitHub, YAML, or similar platforms
