ModMed is hiring a driven Technical Writer II to join our positive, passionate, and high-performing Client Education team focused on creating high-quality, easily comprehensible documentation to enhance the success of our Gastroenterology products and services. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, developing technical content, and overseeing administrative tasks to ensure the efficient flow of information within a fast-paced Healthcare IT company that is truly Modernizing Medicine! The Technical Writer II will not only produce clear and concise technical documents but also contribute to the development and maintenance of standards and style guides as well as aid in administrative duties such as creating dashboards and scheduling knowledge transfers.
Your Role:
Collaborate with product designers, developers, and subject matter experts to understand complex product details and features. Research, plan, and develop comprehensive technical manuals, user guides, and product release notes. Write and edit technical documents, adhering to established company standards and guidelines. Review, revise, and enhance documents prepared by others, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Create and maintain dashboards to monitor documentation progress, quality metrics, and knowledge transfer schedules. Spearhead the establishment and maintenance of style guides, ensuring consistency across all documentation and materials. Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions, ensuring the smooth exchange of technical information among team members. Provide advanced writing, editing, and design support to team members, offering guidance on best practices and maintaining a high standard of quality.Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, Preferred in English, Journalism, or Communications. 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or similar role preferred, minimum of 2 years required. Knowledge of or experience with a technical subject such as software engineering. Ability to translate highly technical information into easily understandable information for customers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences. Excellent software troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail.
