GENERAL DESCRIPTION\n
Tyonek is seeking a Technical Writer with strong technical and documentation experience. \n
DUTIES\n\nDevelop and validate Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs), Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists (RPSTLs) to applicable Military Specifications.\nResearch, write, and\/or update technical documents such as procedural manuals, service manuals, and related technical publications concerned with installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment.\nCoordinate with engineers, Subject Matter Experts (SME), customer representatives, provisioners, and other technical writers to verify and understand technical concepts and develop courses of action to ensure project completion is on time and within budget.\nCoordinate with government Technical Publications representatives and participate in validations and verifications of technical documentation as required.\nDemonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.\nWork well in a team environment.\nRespond quickly to company and customer needs.\nWork overtime and travel when needed.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n
EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\n\nBachelor's Degree preferred\nMinimum of five years related experience \nPrevious Military experience preferred\nMust have experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings\nMust have working knowledge and understanding of military and commercial aerospace practices, processes, specifications and standards.\nCandidate must be familiar with layout, design, and structure of Organizational, Intermediate and Depot level Technical Manuals (TM's) including Operation and Maintenance, Theory of Operation, Fault Isolation Procedures, and Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPB's).\nMust be proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.\nMust have experience\/working knowledge of the following:\n\nAdobe Acrobat \nEXtensible Markup Language (XML)\nMIL-STD-40051-1 and MIL-STD-40051-2\nMIL-STD-2361\n\n\nWe maintain a drug free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
