We are looking for a Technical Writer II to join our Technical Documentation (TechDocs) team in India, reporting to the senior manager of TechDocs. In this role, you will significantly impact the company's customer experience by delivering high-quality product documentation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Product Management, Engineering, QA, and Support to develop and deliver technical documentation for Infoblox products. You will also investigate and adopt new technology and tools to improve the creation and delivery of customer-facing documentation for Infoblox’s Software as a Service (SaaS) and DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) products.

You are the ideal candidate if you are a driven collaborator who enjoys researching new technology and product features, interviewing subject matter experts, and authoring and delivering concise and high-quality documentation.  

What you’ll do:

Learn Infoblox products and act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for creating and delivering customer-facing documentationReview and analyze product documents and specifications and communicate with stakeholders to gather product informationWork closely with Product management, Development, QA, and Support to drive the creation and production of technical information for installation, administration, CLI, API, online help, and release notes Create documentation plans and project schedulesMaintain accurate and concise documentation and act as the information architect in structuring the information in a logical manner for target audiences, so they can access information in a timely mannerCreate illustrations and workflow diagrams to communicate complex informationUse company supported tools to maintain source files, project schedules, and other relevant informationManage documentation reviews and integrate review comments Prepare, produce, and deliver final documentation for posting on the Infoblox Documentation Portal (docs.infoblox.com)

What you’ll bring:

5+ years of writing and editing experience in the networking, security, or relevant fields Proficiency in both written and verbal English, strong editing skills preferredExperience with Confluence Cloud, JIRA, MapCap Flare, Draw.io, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft TeamsSolid understanding of UX/UI best practicesExperience with single sourcing and source control systemsExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret product information and engineering data and transcribe them in a concise and comprehensible mannerSuperb cross-departmental relationship management, documentation, and reporting skillsAbility to communicate and work with cross-functional teams in a multinational companyAbility to work independently with minimal supervision as a team player and a critical thinkerAbility to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentOutstanding research and interview skills

Be the TechDocs SME in the products assigned to youContinue to deliver quality technical documentation in a timely mannerProvide process improvement ideas on the TechDocs team processes and style guide Keep up with industry trend and tools and give feedback to the TechDocs team
