Secret Location: White Sands, NM 88002 US (Primary) % Travel 10 - 20% Job Description As a Technical Writer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have an opportunity to do the following: + Write, rewrite and/or edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications. + Impart a wide range of knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in technical fields and related disciplines gained through wide exposure to weapons systems operations and/or test and evaluation processes and procedures. + Confer with authors and subject matter experts to recommend edits to technical documentation to include review of content for completeness, accuracy and correctness of language use. + Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources. Job Requirements + Must have a SECRET clearance. + Must be able to work under general direction and independently determine and develop approaches to technical documentation production. + BS/BA and 5-7 years of related experience. + Previous technical writing experience supporting NSWC DET WS or other NSWC Detachments is highly desired.
