Jacobs is seeking a Technical Writer to join our dynamic team supporting our customer in Arlington, VA. In this position you’ll work closely with content owners to create and maintain documentation in support of our client’s programs. We value candidates who are detail-oriented while also being able to think and react quickly to emerging and unique problem sets.
You’ll be expected to work onsite, have a strong work ethic, and possess the ability to work as a critical member of our team. This position requires an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.
Responsibilities\:
Interact with content developers, technical experts, and subject matter experts to produce quality documentation and training materials. Effectively manage documentation to meet client document configuration requirements as well as delivery schedules. Assist in document reviews to include editing and proofing of content, grammatics, formatting, and production or presentation of such products. Review and edit government policy documents for grammar, format, and clarity prior to approval. Develop and maintain Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), and other tool-related user guides/ manuals on technical edit workflow, processes and procedures. Consolidate technical inputs and analyses documents for delivery and produce a logical, understandable document. Maintain current SharePoint documentation libraries across multiple networks and improve overall document sustainment workflow and processes. Maintain proficiency in MS Office and other applications used by the client to create documents, graphics or other deliverable products.
