ResponsibilitiesAs a Technical Writing Intern within the Operational Services team of the ESD organization, you will play a crucial role in documenting and refining our business processes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the creation and maintenance of procedural and process documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including staff processing groups, to gather detailed information and confirm the specifics of existing processes. Additionally, while not essential, the ability to create process flow charts would be a valuable asset. This role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Currently enrolled and in a college or university and working towards a bachelor degree in a Business Administration, Communications, English with a concentration in Technical or Business writing. Rising Junior or Senior status. Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members. Detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy and consistency in documentation. Basic understanding of process documentation and the ability to grasp complex processes quickly. Proficiency in using word processing and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs). Familiarity with creating process flow charts (preferred but not required). Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
