Job Description

Summary

The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance which includes areas of expertise in electrical maintenance and installation, instrumentation, controls, PLC/DCS programming and troubleshooting.

Essential Functions

Perform and respond to instrumentation and electrical repair and troubleshooting. Repairs can include working with motors, motor starters, running conduit, and wire pulling as well as troubleshooting and repairing the PLC/DCS systems.Move, set, and calibrate controls such as knobs, valves, switches, levers, and index arms on control panels.Responsible for monitoring and addressing control process variables such a: flows, temperatures, pressures, vacuum, time, and chemicals, by automatic regulation and remote control of processing units such which includes heaters, coolers, thermal oxidizer, compressors, exchangers, and other units.Determine malfunctioning units by observing control instruments, such as meters and gauges or by automatic warning signals, such as lights and sounding of horns.Inspect equipment to determine location and nature of malfunction including leaks, breakages and faulty valves Determines repair and maintenance of equipment.Patrol units to verify safe and efficient operating conditions.Lubricate equipment as necessary.Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assigned by management.

QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3+ years of mechanical experience required

Specialized Knowledge

Knowledge of industrial equipment operations and careExperienced in ARC and MIG weldingMechanical knowledge of bearing changes, pumps, and conveyorsPLC/DCS knowledgeKnowledge of Hart Communication Systems, Profibus wiring and com methods, and Device-netAbility to read and update electrical printsUnderstanding of discrete and analog systemsPneumatic Experience & Hydraulic Experience strongly preferred

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
