Job DescriptionJOB OVERVIEW: The Technician I position requires 2 Senior Certifications.
As a Technician I, you will support our manufacturing operations and
facilities infrastructure by providing a full range of mechanical/electrical and
repair tasks with a focus on project completion in a timely manner and
attention to detail. Project duties will vary; please read the requirements
and job tasks below to understand the range of experience needed.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
· High school graduate or equivalent
· Strong Mechanical & Electrical background & good work record
· Must have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS, Excel, etc.)
· Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and OEM manuals
· Understand manufacturing processes and manufacturing equipment
· Must be familiar with normal shop equipment such as drill press, band
saw, portable power tools, welder(s), etc.
· Ability to read and interpret precision measuring devices
· Must be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
· Must have 2 hands-on Certifications: Senior Electrical, plus Sr.
Mechanical
· Up to 50% travel possible
PRIMARY JOB TASKS:
· Works in a safe manner and ensures the safety of all employees
· Perform all work in accordance with Southwire policies and
procedures
· Reading electrical and or mechanical schematics, drawings and
equipment manuals
· Develop material list and order materials required
