What You’ll Do:

Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers with the primary focus on tires.

Dismount and remount tires on trucks and trailersUse a balancing machine to determine counterweights required to balance wheelsClean hubs and wheels to prevent corrosionRotate and balance tiresDiagnose and resolve alignment issuesPerform tire repairs such as valves stem replacement, removing puncturing objects, and sealing puncturesChange vehicle tires, check for proper air pressure, and inspect/repair PSI systemsIdentify irregular wear, high wear rates, or operational tire issues. Report findings to Corporate Tire TeamCoordinate with Corporate Tire Team on inventory needs and manage onsite inventoryUnderstand DOT OOS items and enforce compliance with DOT & USX standardsPerform basic and routine preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers as outlined in USX PM guidelinesPerform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.Check vehicle fluids (e.g. transmission, oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze, etc.)Grease mechanical partsMaintain a high productivity level and complete most jobs within or close to SRT timesMay perform other duties as assignedCollaborate in-person with all levels of the organization to harness collective intelligence of the workforce.Attend all in-person meetings and trainings on recent developments, goals, and objectives. Participate in such discussions by offering input and advice.Regularly engage remotely and in-person with customers and potential customers to establish rapport, open communication, and expectations.
