Position title: Technician/Maintenance

This positions is responsible for facilitation of troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and improving process and packaging equipment to maximize production and maintain high standards in safety and quality. This position also improves maintenance procedures and manufacturing processes for the improvement of safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture.
SHIFT HOURS: Wednesday 11:45pm - 6:00am and Thursday Friday and Saturday 5:45pm - 6:00am. SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $4/hr

Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment. Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex process and packaging equipment. Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise Responsible for safety compliance personally and with equipment. Review documentation for maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system. Train production employees as needed for set-ups, operation of all equipment, etc. Participate in projects and/or rebuilds. Responsible for food safety as well as meeting all regulatory requirements. Assist in day-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and change overs
About you:
High School or vocational school diploma Minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing experience, required Food manufacturing experience, preferred Vocational school, Industrial maintenance degree, technical college training, satisfactory completion of formal apprentice program, preferred Ability to read and understand manuals, line diagrams and schematics, required Ability to identify and analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, required High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances, required High degree of attention and care required preventing injury to others with responsibility for flow of electrical power Exposed to voltages up to 480. Ability to work at high heights, ie. on roofs, aerial lifts, elevated platforms, up to 50 feet while wearing fall protection and proper PPE Able to lift 75 lbs, frequently with mechanical assistance Able to lift 50 lbs, regularly Able to lift 100 lbs, occasionally Kneel, squat, bend, stoop; frequently Twist, stretch, reach overhead, frequently Able to stand for long periods of time Able to walk up and down stairs, frequently Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures inside and outside the facility Noise level can exceed .85 decibels Finger dexterity Ability to use computer screens for periods of time Ability to sit for periods of time
