REQ12007 Technician, Property Services (Open)

POSITION SUMMARY:Carry out any duty assigned by his/her supervisors. Perform repair and maintenance services to ensure the equipment, system and plants achieve its best condition.  Maintain the functionality of all life safety equipment in place and ready to operate at all times. He/she will be assigned to shift operation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:According to the established schedule, achieve high quality services, repair and maintenance works efficientlyHandle the verification, storage and utilization of all tool/material/parts to maintain the equipment, system and plant as per the established policy and proceduresReport immediately to Senior Technician / Lead Technician any difficulties in completing jobsMaintain and ensure all tool and equipment are in good order at all timesProject good grooming standards when dealing with customerAdhere to all company policies and proceduresReport accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departmentsPerform other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:Experience:  1 - 2 years working experience in a hotel or in a similar capacity

Education: Secondary school certificate in Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical or other rated discipline, or equivalent professional training is preferredCandidates without any trade certificates but with solid experience will also be considered

Skills / Competencies: Good command in written and spoken English / Sinhala / TamilSolid hands-on experience on either:a. repairing for electrical system in either electrical trade or electronic equipment aspect,b. repairing for mechanical system in either mechanical trade or manufacturing process aspect,c. repairing for air conditioning system or refrigerant coolant equipment in either air conditioning or kitchen coolant equipment,d. repairing for plumbing and draining system,e. repairing for LPG / NG feed kitchen equipment or other fuel system,f. electrical and argon welding for stainless steel and metal work,g. installing / repairing at fit-out builders work trade,Holding of Local Safety Certificate (if any) is an advantagePerform other duties as and when required very last minute and at time of emergencyIndependent and able to work with minimal supervisionFrequently / Occasional ascending or descending ladders and/or ramps and ability to work in high rise siteAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basisAbility to work on overtime when neededGood health, physically fit and excellence in personal grooming and presentation
