This is a temporary position (W2 Only) inOrlando, FLand is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last approximately1 year. With the opportunity to convert permanently. This role is on-site, so you should be comfortable commuting to Orlando.Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: + Install, upgrade, maintain, and repair equipment, systems, and subsystems at customer sites. + Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime. + Collaborate with sustainment engineers to troubleshoot and repair assets using wiring diagrams, data, and test equipment. + Perform depot-level repairs, reworks, modifications, and refurbishments of system components. + Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers, and waveform generators to conduct fault isolation. + Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to diagnose and repair faulty components. + Provide excellent customer communication, ensuring satisfaction and maintaining effective relationships. Required Experience and Skills: + High school diploma or equivalent education, with additional technical training. + Minimum of 1 year of experience in preventive and demand maintenance tasks. + Experience testing electro-optical components and systems. + Proficiency with general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.). + Ability to lift 35 pounds and work with hazardous materials. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. + Ability to solder and repair cables and harnesses. + Experience working with and following Government property control policies. Desired Skills: + Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721. + Ability to mix and weigh chemicals safely. + Experience with safety wiring assemblies and connectors.
