Job Description
This role is responsible for executing tests, documenting data, and reporting findings to the team. The technician will work closely with engineering to ensure test specifications are met and that detailed, accurate reports are produced.
ResponsibilitiesVerify that test specifications are correct and can be executed with available resources.Create test setups to match engineering specifications, including interpreting test procedures and diagrams, instrumentation, data acquisition, test article diagnostics, and frontline root causing.Accurately report test incidents in layperson terms.Maintain, ensure safety, and schedule the use of Test Team equipment.Write high-quality, detailed reports that drive to the root of any issues on a given test using data and a first-order analysis.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingElectro-mechanical skillsAbility to read schematicsAssembly and maintenance experienceExperience with testing circuitsProficiency with hand and power tools (manual mills, bandsaws, screwdrivers, wrenches, torque drivers, drills, calipers/measurement tools, etc.)Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and proactivityStrong communication skills to report data to the engineering teamStrong attention to detailFamiliarity with 80/20 buildsExperience with the creation and execution of test buildsAdditional Skills & QualificationsSoldering skills are a plusAbility to read SOPs and technical instructionsExperience with electronics, mechanical repair, avionic systems, and troubleshootingExperience working on hardware/software projects and collaborating with engineersAbility to understand and interpret a wide variety of technical documents (electrical schematics, mechanical drawings)Ability to organize data in an easy-to-understand formatWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes the use of hand tools, bandsaws, manual mills, torque drivers, wrenches, and O-scopes. Training will be provided for in-house testing sensors using proprietary software. The primary focus is on testing the body parts and mechanisms of drones for reliability. This role is within a production test and reliability environment. The shift is a swing shift from 4 pm to 12:30 am, but candidates need to be open to working graveyard shifts if needed.
