**Job Title: Technician** **Pay: $20HR** **1st shift** **Job Description** This role involves performing various duties such as installing and inspecting piping, troubleshooting and repairing pumps and other equipment used in the everyday operations of the landfill, moving material, managing leachate, digging ditches, and other general labor duties. The position requires outdoor maintenance work. **Responsibilities** + Install and inspect piping + Troubleshoot and repair pumps and other equipment + Move material and manage leachate + Dig ditches and perform various laborer duties + Work with heavy equipment such as skid steers and bobcats + Utilize hand tools for installation and troubleshooting tasks **Essential Skills** + At least 1 year of experience working on a construction job site + At least 1 year of general labor experience + Mechanical skills + Proficiency with hand tools + Experience in service, repair, and heavy equipment operation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in carpentry, deck building, or landscaping + Experience working outside in various weather conditions + Experience with hand tools and any type of installation or troubleshooting **Why Work Here?** Once permanent, employees enjoy benefits such as 401k and profit sharing, medical insurance, holiday and PTO (1-2 weeks depending on tenure). Employees rarely perform the same tasks two days in a row. **Work Environment** Contractors will be working at a landfill in Collinsville, AL, maintaining the leachate system. The work environment will have a scent and be dirty, requiring comfort with working in such conditions daily and in all weather. The shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available during weekdays and eventually weekends. The team is small, currently with 8 members, and VAC trucks are on site, which contractors might assist in operating. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Collinsville, Alabama. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
