Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will participate in management discussions relative to program plans, optimum fabrication and test approaches. You will participate in management discussions relative to the operation and maintenance of the equipment utilized by a wide variety of projects related to sensors, arrays, cables, and connectors and associated fabrication and test facilities. You will participate in the construction, experimentation, and testing of existing, developmental, and prototype components and systems. You will support the project engineers and facility managers in executing department tasking to ensure customer satisfaction while providing the most effective and efficient operation of the facilities. You will participate in various project meetings with project engineers, Lead System Engineers, Technical Program Managers, and external shipyard and Fleet personnel; and to remain current in laboratory practices. You will fabricate, test, and install various submarine and surface ship assemblies (including but not limited to cables, circuit boards, printed wiring assemblies, installation kits) for RDTandE projects as well as fleet use. You will be called upon to use unique approaches and techniques in the fabrication or repair of various in-service and RDTandE systems, parts, and assemblies. You will contribute to the preparation of formal reports and project documentation for special technical investigations or studies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-3 pay band (GS-09/10 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical principles to support the program plans, fabrication, testing, operations, and maintenance for various systems, equipment and facilities areas. Education Additional Information This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12.
