We are seeking a proactive and skilled Site Technician to join our team at Hams Hall. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and maintenance for automation systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and repair, as well as effective communication with operations and technical teams.

 

Your TasksRespond promptly to automation-related incidents raised via telephone or internal ticketing systems, providing necessary support and repairs.Assist in the scheduling and execution of preventative maintenance activities.Accurately log all repair and maintenance activities on the ticketing system.Escalate complex repair or maintenance issues to the Technical Services Manager.Keep operations staff informed about ongoing maintenance and repair activities.Support the Technical Services Manager with reporting tasks.Maintain the integrity of the critical spares inventory by conducting regular counts and updating records for deliveries and repairs.Assist vendor technicians and engineers during site visits.Support training initiatives and provide cover for team members at other UK sites when required.Ensure all engineering working areas adhere to 5S standards, keeping them clean, organized, and safe, while reporting any issues to the Technical Services Manager.Your Profile:Knowledge of conveyor systems, Autostore, shuttle systems, or other automation technologies (preferred).Previous experience in repairing electrical or mechanical systems.Proficiency in using power tools, including hot works tools such as soldering irons.Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.Confident using computers for various technical and reporting tasks.Experience with remote support (preferred).Flexibility to work varying shifts to support a 24/7 warehouse operation.Willingness to travel to other UK sites as required.We Offer: 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays with the option to purchase up to an additional 5 days  Pension contribution A life assurance policy that pays out 4 x Salary  Employee Assistance Programme that provides you with confidential support, information, and advice to help you Employee Discount Scheme through Benefit HubFree car parking
