This position involves being a service technician in St. Paul, MN as part of a local Solenis team. In this position the employee will be trained to monitor and maintain Solenis water treatment chemical pumping equipment, conduct routine inventory, conduct lab testing, conduct chemical tank refills, repair and install chemical feed equipment, document tasks in Word and Excel, correspond with Solenis team and customer (paper mill) team by email/phone and maintain a positive customer relationship. Safety and communication are the highest priorities in this job.
The service technician will have the following responsibilities:
The primary resource who performs routine equipment monitoring and serviceCompleting routine lab testing at the customer siteDocuments routine inventory counts at the customer siteIdentifies any safety issues with our applications and institutes repairs/improvements for safetyConducts routine chemical tank refillsSpecs out, sets up, and maintains new feed equipmentAdjusts chemical feed systems to maintain designed chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoringAlerts the site manager of any problems or opportunities, and begins to troubleshoot issuesInterfaces with the customer to understand any issues relating to our programsInventories and orders spare partsMaintains the preventative maintenance program of Solenis equipment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalentAbility to work in an industrial environment: short term exposure to hot and cold areas, wearing ear protection (ear plugs), safety glasses, hard hat, etc.Must be able to lift 50lbs.Plumbing/mechanical/electrical skills. Knowledge and ability in at least one these areas. On the job training will be conducted.Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel) is preferred, but can be trained on the job.Good interpersonal communication skills.Strong troubleshooting skills. There will be team support to help. Self motivated and reliableHigh safety awareness- Ability to complete safety training, follow safety policies and work in a safety-oriented manner.
