The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
The role involves supporting both brownfields and greenfields exploration activities, including field-based sampling, drilling programs, environmental initiatives, and community development efforts. Responsibilities include:
The position is Based in Makati, with flexibility to be assigned to the Didipio mine site when necessary.Handling and collecting data from drill core samples, and ensuring the safe and timely transport of personnel and exploration samples in accordance with company travel and safety procedures, under the supervision of geologists.Transport of personnel and exploration-related material to various locations in a safe and timely manner.Support field exploration activities in the Philippines. Must be physically fit and capable of performing fieldwork in remote and challenging environments.Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle's roadworthiness to ensure compliance with the company standards and Philippine Land transportation office standards.Perform basic troubleshooting when required.Operate vehicles in accordance with company safety protocols and traffic laws.Monitor mileage, service schedules, and document inspections as per company requirement.Represent the company professionally when interacting with local communities, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.QualificationsMinimum of two (2) years relevant work experience, with good knowledge of Metro Manila and Luzon areasPreferably a high school or vocational course graduateValid professional driver’s license with a clean driving recordTESDA Certification in driving requiredStrong understanding of traffic laws and regulationsExperience and training in 4WD vehicle operation is an advantageGood oral and written communication skills for regular interaction with internal and external stakeholdersBasic computer literacyAdditional InformationWHAT'S ON OFFER:
