Job Overview:
The Endoscopy Technician is a direct patient caregiver and assists the physicians in the technical aspects of performing endoscopic procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School GraduateWill train the right candidate for the roleBasic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)Certification in flexible endoscope reprocessing is required within two (2 years) of hirePreferred:
Graduate of an endoscopic or surgical technician program; or at least one year experience as an endo tech in a hospital or freestanding endoscopy center preferredScheduling Requirements:
Part-TimeDay Shift24 hours per weekEssential Functions:
Accurately collects, labels, and delivers specimens as requiredAssist physician and RN during diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresDemonstrates knowledge of latex allergy and isolation precautionsProvide direct patient care within his or her scope of practice, under the direct supervision of the RN and/or the physicianProvide and maintain a safe environment for staff and patient care by complying with regulatory requirements and standardsMaintain procedure rooms and reprocessing room clean and adequately stockedReports patient complaints, problems, and any untoward signs, symptoms or unusual occurrences immediately to the registered nursePerforms all other duties as assignedBenefits and Perks:
