Description

As Technician at Micron Fab10N, you will report to the Manager/Supervisor and lead engineering and maintenance works in the fields of Control systems on site, with the necessary guidance and direction from Facilities organization, to achieve facilities department, site, facilities corporate and company goals

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Adhere to company’s environmental safety health policy and procedure, standard operating procedure with risk assessment, good housekeeping standard and quality policy when performing work

• Report and follow through work related injury and near miss to supervisor and actively participate in safety incident investigation

• Attend classroom, computer-base training, skill certification and on-the-job training to acquire skill to performance job function

• Attend morning tool box meeting and other department and organization meeting when required

• Plan, schedule and perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work activities on instrumentation and controls equipment and system under the responsibilities of Facilities organization

• Troubleshoot and attend to abnormalities in support of Operations in a timely manner on instrumentation and controls equipment and system under the responsibilities of Facilities organization, when required

• Participate in instrumentation and controls equipment and system abnormalities root cause analysis, then execute corrective and preventive action for continual improvement, this include installation and modification work on existing or new instrumentation and controls system

• Coordinate, sponsor and supervise contract service provider to performance work activities in accordance to service agreement

Technical:

• Detailed and in-depth understanding of facility Instruments/Gas detector/ Variable Speed Drive and its associated system working principle

• Good understand of Electrical equipment and PLC wiring concept and its interfacing with Instruments and gas detectors.

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for plant instrumentation/gas detection

• Expert with the calibration and measurement tools

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and rectification work independently

• Understand system schematic drawings and wiring diagram

• Able to work with respective contractor to complete PM jobs effectively

• Lead the team in troubleshooting and rectification work

• Basic PLC programming knowledge for modification and troubleshooting.

• Train and certify new team member

• Provide guidance to team member

COMMUNICATION/COORDINATION

- Communicate respectfully with all relevant parties

- Communicate and coordinate effectively with all relevant internal and external team members including contractors to ensure efficient completion of installation

- Keep supervisor informed on all assigned work progress and all changes in a timely manner

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY

- Understand the various LOTO devices required to be used during the PM/CM

- Perform RA/JHA/RA for all works

- Understand the various electrical/fire/chemical hazards of job areas

- Understand the safety procedures when required to enter confine space

- Able to select and don the correct PPE required for the respective PM/CM involved

- Train in all safety SOP and PPE

COST REDUCTION

- Participate and propose cost savings projects including optimizing expense cost spending

- Identify and implement value engineering
