Job Description

Interfaces with other departments in the execution of duties to ensure the orderly flow of materials and information 

• Utilize initiative and independent judgment, to manage daily activities in the manufacturing environment 

• Anticipate troubleshooting needs and perform complex troubleshooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution  

• Utilize knowledge of manufacturing processes and efficiencies to promote material flow within the operation 

• Determine and recommend manpower adjustments on a daily basis in response to demand fluctuations 

• Provide leadership and daily supervision to all technicians within the assigned department, including the evaluation of performance and management of work plans 

• Work with the management team to lead and deploy training plans as needed 

• Take ownership for business objectives including, delivery, EHS, productivity, materials, costs, output, cycle time, and quality 

• Use six sigma tools and lean manufacturing concepts to lead teams and to improve established processes and metrics 

• Provide technical assistance by phone or in person to customer, field service personnel, or suppliers as needed 

• Little or no direction is given in execution of job related activities 

• Comply with EHS regulations and policies
