This Technician II position is part of the Standard Desalt and Tubes Value Stream located in Coralville, IA, and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. Shift: Wednesday - Friday, 7 PM to 7:30 AM In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Synthesize oligonucleotides (oligos) on various synthesizer platforms, cleave and deprotect oligos, quantify and sample oligos for quality control (QC) tests. Attach modifications utilizing various techniques. + Use custom software packages to complete tasks and create final products. Assess QC data accurately and make pass/fail decisions for oligos. Keep thorough records of specialized processes in the oligo process history. + Prepare oligos for final shipment to customer or for further processing in other departments. Perform decontamination on liquid handling instruments. The essential requirements of the job include: + Associate degree in a science related field or at least 18 months of lab experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Excellent computer skills with the ability to accurately use job aids in safety minded production of oligos. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Bachelor’s degree in a science related field preferred. + Life sciences experience, preferred. + Ability to perform and transition through a variety of tasks with concurrent deadlines daily with urgency and efficiency while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
