Job Description:

Part of a team of facilities maintenance technicians to perform preventative maintenance, repairs and improvements to the buildings' infrastructure as well as some of the larger production equipment such as vacuum pump stands and ovens.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipmentAssist with maintaining daily operations of the physical facilitySupports manufacturing and facilities personnel by performing preventive maintenance duties such as, but not limited to the following: HVAC and other facility preventative maintenance, Basic electrical projects, Working with outside contractors on building and equipment repairs, Furniture moves, Painting and/or cleaning, Light construction and/or exterior cleanup, Operating site equipment as needed, using hand and power tools as necessaryTroubleshoot and repair facility in production -related mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of defective componentsInstall, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic systems and equipment used in precision Cs gas cell atomic clock manufacturingMaintain and repair automated test equipment (ATE), vacuum pump stands, vacuum oven in temperature chambersCoordinate with equipment vendors and outside service contractors to support facility infrastructure maintenanceMaintain and support equipment calibration activities

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years work experience with mechanical/electrical systems, trouble shooting, maintenance and repairMechanical AptitudeHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to perform skilled trades work such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry.Computer literacy is required for email and work order processAbility to multi-taskAbility to work independently.US Citizenship/Permanent US Residency requirements as outlined below:

This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US Residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge/(and/or)training of OSHA(General Industry), EPA(RCRA), DOT(Hazmat) & Mass DEP(Hazardous Waste) regulations is preferred.Experience in building facility maintenance.HVAC experience is desiredProven work experience demonstrating the ability to read electrical schematics/mechanical drawings, work from blueprints, drawings and/or rough sketches.BS degree or Certification from accredited trade school or equivalent work experience
