Technician III - Test **_POSITION SUMMARY:_** _The Test Technician performs engineering work. Work at this level is not complex. Some wide variety of complex technical tasks will have engineer’s instructions._ **_RESPONSIBILITIES:_** 1. _Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments._ 2. _Perform unit test to support production schedule._ 3. _Conducts semi-routine engineering and detailed experimental tests._ 4. _Keeps detailed and accurate logs on all assigned activities._ 5. _Participate in yield and continuous improvement action._ 6. _Help to control SPC and GR&R._ 7. _Assists engineers to design, development, construction, and evaluation of test fixture and equipment._ 8. _Understands, sustains and maintains test program, maintains test equipment system with Test Engineer support._ 9. _Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care._ 10. _Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials._ 11. _Other duties as assigned._ **_WORK ENVIRONMENT_** + _Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat_ + _Works in a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering lab environment._ + _Completes many repetitive tasks that include the use of electronic equipment._ + _Operates sampling and real time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies and special test fixtures._ + _Works under direct supervision and get support from engineer sometimes to understand new tasks._ + _Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand._ **_QUALIFICATIONS:_** + _Ability to read electronic schematics._ + _Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems._ + _Good communication ability and team work._ + _Knowledge of testing instruments, such as Digital Scope, DMM, Generator, computer etc._ + _Knowledge of Basic English ability, reading ability is preferred._ + _Good computational and technical skills._ + _Ability to work independently and ability to be creative._ **_EXPERIENCE:_** _Essential:_ + _Minimum of five (5) years of related experiences._ + _Knowledge of electrical Engineering or a related field_ _Desirable:_ + _Basic English knowledge._ + _ESD knowledge._ + _5S knowledge._ + _Product test procedure knowledge._ **_EDUCATION:_** + _Technical school or Diploma level or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience_ **_WHY TO JOIN US?_** _As part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.
