Technician In Charge (TIC)Position Overview:Prioritizes safety standards and compliance across all operations. Manages daily technician scheduling and operations while ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation. Provides professional customer service to the contract client and maintains strong communication between all departments. Competitive compensation: $37.00Benefits include:Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeksSick days:  8 hrs. Per monthHolidaysOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision insuranceCompany paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring all work is completed in a timely mannerUtilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles and equipmentManage inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance and repair activities while minimizing waste and excess inventoryPerform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standardsCoach and monitor members of the work teamOther duties as requiredQualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel technician, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systemsStrong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a teamAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracyMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as neededSubject to DOT drug testing and physical examination if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reasonPhysical Requirements:Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions - 100% of the job is performed outside, including work alone and in remote locationsSit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day)Frequently walk for long distances on possibly sloped, slippery, and uneven surfacesPush and pull objects up to 100 pounds occasionally throughout the workdayLift material weighing up to 50 lbs with or without assistanceOccasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access files or equipment stored at ground levelWork safely in heavy traffic areas while performing job dutiesTolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noiseThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
