Integration Engineering Technician III - A

Merritt Island, FL

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

Perform expert installations of avionic components and systems, ensuring operational reliability and compliance with design specifications.Lead the transition from development to production, managing qualification timelines and first article assemblies.Conduct detailed avionic installations, including intricate cable harness configurations, to meet safety and quality standards.Inspect, test, and verify avionics assemblies against technical models, drawings, and specifications.Troubleshoot and resolve avionic system issues through modifications, reworks, repairs, and maintenance.Collaborate with vehicle and launch operations teams for in-field harness installations under dynamic conditions.Conduct thorough inspections, cleanings, measurements, and testing to ensure optimal avionics performance.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance avionic installation processes, focusing on safety and operational efficiency.Maintain a collaborative, fast-paced team environment while balancing multiple priorities.Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and safety protocols, promoting a safety-first culture.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.Experience: 5–10 years in aerospace manufacturing, focusing on avionics or harness fabrication.Skills & Technical Knowledge:Proficiency in harsh environment cable harness assembly.Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder).Desired Skills:Experience with avionics manufacturing and related test equipment.Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, and ANSI/ESD S20.20.Skilled in using measurement tools and applying basic math concepts.Experience working in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment.Physical Requirements:Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.Must meet vision standards and be able to work various shifts, including overtime if necessary.
