About the Role
A Level 3 Technician will be familiar with general plant operations which include Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Dewatering, Filtration and Tailings Dam Operations. Supporting activities that include surface fleet operation of, excavator, skid steer, frontend loader and forklift.
With your highly developed Processing Technician skill set you will be able to safely follow detailed procedures and instructions to undertake isolation activities, to enable safe access to plant and equipment for maintenance purpose across our Carrapateena Operations.
In this role you will:
Foster a strong safety culture based on open and transparent communication with all process plant stakeholders. Including active involvement and engagement in the safety management framework of the shift team, department, and site. Support continuous improvement within the operating teams, by active participation in Lean improvement programmes. Enable an inclusive environment within the Carrapateena site, by supporting activities associated with developing a strong team culture. Execute plant housekeeping requirements to a high standard to ensure safe daily operation as well as long term asset integrity. Develop and maintain competency in operational areas, against the competency-based training and assessment framework outlined in the onboarding process. Work with department technical staff to meet or exceed operational targets of throughput, recovery, product quality and cost. Interface with other departments on a day-to-day basis to maximise value across the business chain, including the mine, SOC and maintenance teams to the benefit of the total asset rather than the department or the individual. Take direction from shift leadership team to undertake activities in a safe and competent manner within the processing facility. Develop a high capability in the operating areas of the plant, which comprise of Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Dewatering Filtration and Tailings Dam Operations. Support activities including surface fleet operation. Excavator, Skid steer, Frontend Loader, Forklift Follow detailed procedures and instructions to undertake isolation activities which enable safe access to plant and equipment for maintenance purposes. Understanding of the Permit To Work System (Desirable)
About You
Highly experienced within a minerals processing Plant Demonstrated experience and understanding of Crushing and Grinding circuits (SAG and BALL Mill) Floatation, Dewatering, Filtration and tailings dam operations. Experience in building and maintaining effective systems that will deliver the highest levels of safety and performance whilst achieving production targets. Strong safety leadership skills to work with and across all teams and areas on site. Previous experience and ability to work in a highly effective team Must be able to work well in an agile, lean and accountable team committed to achieving the departmental strategic objectives. Demonstrated understanding and exposure of relevant legislation and mining regulations including occupational health and safety. Highly developed Literacy and Numeracy skills to read and interpret work instructions, detailed operating procedures, and undertake data entry and information logging
