Under general supervision, performs a variety of fixed and portable radiographs according to department quality standards. This position requires performing at least three radiology modalities from the following: X-Ray, CT scan, mammography, and angiography special procedures. The position requires performing procedures for the minimum three modalities at least once twice in a month, and taking call on rotational basis.
This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating newborn through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. Responsibilities Specific Job Duties:Patient safety measures.Gonadel shielding/film marking.Initialing films utilizing markers.Portable radiological examinations.Fixed radiological examinations.Obtains necessary training prior to initial equipment use.Assures equipment is in operating order prior to use.Uses the following equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s operating instructions. Including, but not limited to:C-ArmProcessorsLaser cameraR/F roomsPortable radiologic equipmentFixed radiologic equipment Qualifications
Education/Training/Experience
Associates degree preferred
Minimum 3 years prior experience as a Diagnostic Technologist
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Prior supervisory experience desired
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Current CRT
ARRT Certification preferred
Current Fluoroscopy Permit
Current BCLS-C Card
