We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Level Technician to join our Inertial Fusion Technology Team. This person will play an integral part in maintaining/improving complex deposition Coater systems at our Inertial Fusion Technology Facility in La Jolla, CA. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting key operations that recently played an integral part at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, National Ignition Facility, in achieving Ignition.   

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform standard electrical or mechanical technician duties, including operation, repair and maintenance of diagnostics used at our Deposition Coaters (electrical preferred).Works with engineering and other technical staff to assist in development, fabrication and installation of new R&D hardware and operations systems for IFT.  Support testing, calibration, documentation, and data collection as well as diagnosis of equipment problems.Use schematics to perform real-time troubleshooting of electronics methodically and efficiently.Works with engineers to review and develop work procedures.Provides technician support to other IFT systems.Responsible to learn and follow all applicable safety procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Some travel may be required.
