Job Description

The Automotive QMS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Automotive Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) in line with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives. This role ensures compliance with IATF 16949 and applicable ISO standards, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance operational resilience and quality assurance.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, implement, and maintain Automotive Quality Management System & Business Continuity Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 & ISO 22301 and other applicable quality standards.Lead and conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to IATF 16949 standard, Automotive policies and procedures and follow up on corrective actions.Facilitate management reviews, coordinate audits with external certification bodies, and ensure readiness for external assessments.Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvement and driving initiatives to reduce non-conformances.Work diligently on following up and complying with Automotive Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) from CustomersResponsible for the strategic oversight of the Automotive QMS program of the site Facilitate site specific business continuity plans (BCP), ensuring that they are effective and kept up to date.Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as QA, Engineering, IT, EHS, Facilities, and Operations to ensure the integration of Automotive QMS measures into daily operations.Monitor and report on the progress of quality projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.Identify opportunities for process improvements, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Work closely with Development sites and Manufacturing sites to identify and complying with their Automotive QMS requirementsDevelop and deliver training programs on Automotive and Business Continuity best practices.Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in the field of Automotive QMS and ISO 9001 along with business continuity Engaging with leadership to report on the status of Automotive and Business Continuity management systemDrive continuous improvement of the Automotive QMS program

 

SKILLS

Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO 22301 standards.Familiarity with ASPICE, Automotive Cybersecurity, and Automotive Functional SafetyRBA Code of Conduct knowledge will be a plusExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong project management and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and string skills with problem-solving tools 8D, FMEA, Lessons Learned, etcDevelop policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure that factory and corporate business functions have an effective and comprehensive continuity and disaster recovery plan.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Automotive Quality Management, and Business Continuity Management.

Experience with IATF and ISO certification requirements implementation and auditing to the standardsInvolvement in External Auditing managementFamiliarity with risk management, incident response, and process improvement techniques.IATF 16949 Lead Auditor, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, and ISO 22301 Internal Auditor certifications preferred.Experience in developing and conducting exercise of BCPsBachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.Experience working in a technology manufacturing environment is preferred.Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people.A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team.Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
