Job DescriptionMechanical Design Engineer, doing HDD component, assembly and system level engineering, documentation, test and qualification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in a fast paced team environment to design the next generation of storage products for Surveillance, NAS, Gaming, and Consumer Electronic marketsDesign HDD components with emphasis on low-cost design with high reliability.Validate fit, function and quality of designsFollow technical test procedures and manuals to setup and run validation testsClearly and technically document findings in Issue Tracking systemCreate technical reports and test procedures as neededResearch and problem solve technical issues encounteredWork with cross functional teams to communicate design, test and qualification status and gather new requirements.QualificationsREQUIRED :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent work experience10+ years in Hard Disk Drive or other electronics company or related field6+ years CAD experienceFEA experiencePREFERRED:
Experience troubleshooting technical issuesTechnical knowledge of HDDs and SSDs is desirableKnowledge of Surveillance systems is a plusSKILLS:
